A revolutionary new product that will change your approach to any cosmetic procedure! Phi Patch Test is a way to identify whether a substance that comes into contact with the skin (a product used during treatment) causes any type of inflammation or allergic reaction.
Everyone is advised to do a patch test before having a procedure, so as to avoid complications.
Make sure your work complies with the highest safety standards and take the best possible care of your customers!
It can be used to test the reaction to pigments, cosmetic products, aftercare products, markers or any other product solution you are using. The results will appear after an hour and you will know if the customer is allergic or intolerant to any product. The test comes with numbered stickers to easily mark and track each of the multiple products you are testing.
The package includes 10 disposable test patches!
STEP I. Clean a small area of skin on the crook of the elbow or on the back of the arm (forearm). Apply a small amount of the products you want to test into the separate patch holes, noting the order. (Example: hole 1 - pigment, hole 2 - marker, hole 3 - PhiBrows Block Tonic, hole 4 - anesthetic, hole 5 - Skin Candy After Care Balm and hole 6 - another product). When the cleansed skin area is dry, apply the patch.
STEP 2. Send client home with instructions to return within 48 hours. In the meantime, the customer should not remove the patch and should observe the skin area around the patch. The customer should also be careful not to get the patch wet when showering or participating in activities that cause profuse sweating. The customer must also not expose the patch to the sun. Instruct the client to remove the patch immediately if they experience an unbearable burning or itching sensation. In this case, the client should immediately wash the treated area and consult a doctor.
STEP 3. When client arrives 48 hours later for appointment, examine skin for patch test results
ANALYZE PATCH TEST RESULTS
The results can be positive or negative. A positive skin test may mean that your customer is sensitive to one of the products used. A negative skin test means your client is unlikely to be sensitive to the products used.
RESULTS
No reaction (no redness, swelling, itching) Negative skin test. There is no sign of irritation or sensitivity after the patch test. Mild to moderate or severe reaction (redness, swelling, itching) Positive skin test.
If the skin test is negative (there is no reaction), you can proceed with the application of the tested cosmetic product. If the skin test is positive (redness, swelling, or itching present), you should not continue to use the product or cosmetic treatment. Advise your client to consult a doctor before proceeding with treatment. If a severe reaction occurs after the patch test, advise your client to see a doctor as soon as possible.
